Authress
Connect Authress API call usage to Doow.
Connect Authress when Doow needs API call usage, authorization activity, and credential-operation signals from your Authress account.
What you need
- An Authress account with access to the environment you want Doow to read.
- An Authress service client access key approved for usage reporting.
- Your Authress API URL, such as
https://youraccountid.api.authress.ioor your configured custom domain.
Use a dedicated service client
Authress service clients identify programmatic callers, and access keys authenticate those callers. Use a dedicated service client for Doow so the key can be revoked without affecting production authorization calls.
Create an access key
- Go to the Authress Management Portal.
- Open Service Clients.
- Create a service client for Doow or open an existing reporting client.
- Add an access key for that service client.
- Copy the private key value.
- Paste the access key and Authress API URL into Doow when prompted.
What Doow reads
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| API call usage | Billable Authress API calls by route or usage category |
| Authorization activity | Authorization request counts and resource activity where available |
| Authentication activity | Authentication event counts where available |
| Credential operations | Service client and access-key operation counts where available |
Doow reads Authress usage and event metadata available to the connected credential and aggregates it at the day level. Authress documents billable API routes, account usage endpoints, and audit-stream events for authentication and authorization activity.
What Doow does not read
- The full content of access policies or authorization records
- User identity data or profile information
- Billing payment methods or invoices
How to connect
- Go to Company Settings, then Integrations in your Doow workspace.
- Find Authress and select Connect.
- Enter the Authress API URL.
- Paste the service client access key.
- Select Connect.
- Wait for Doow to verify the credentials and begin the initial usage sync.
Confirm the sync worked
After connecting, open the integration detail page from Company Settings, then Integrations. A healthy usage sync shows a connected state, a recent sync timestamp, and usage rows for the expected Authress account, route, resource, or operation category.
If the credential is accepted but no usage appears, verify that the API URL points to the right Authress account and that the service client can read the usage or audit data Doow is configured to read.
Troubleshooting
Use these checks when usage data is missing or incomplete:
- Confirm the credential belongs to the provider organization you want Doow to read.
- Confirm the credential can read usage, billing, metrics, or organization-level data.
- Confirm the provider has usage in the selected time range.
- Check whether the provider reports usage with a delay.
- Check the integration event log for credential, scope, or rate-limit errors.
Disconnecting
Go to Company Settings, then Integrations, find Authress, and select Disconnect. Doow deletes the stored credentials immediately. Revoke the service client access key in Authress when you want to remove provider-side access too.
Next steps
After usage data appears, connect an identity provider if Doow needs to match Authress usage to users and app ownership. Connect accounting if the review needs finance-confirmed spend.
