Everything you need to get started with Doow
Guides, references, and walkthroughs for connecting your data sources, understanding your stack, and getting the most out of Doow.
Get started
What Doow needs from your stack and how to connect it.
Data sourcesHere are the three data layers we rely on and why you don't need all of them at once.Choose what to connectHow to pick the right integration source based on what you want to see tracked in Doow. How integrations workHow Doow validates, syncs, pauses, and disconnects data sources.Connect an integrationHow to connect and manage your integrations from Company Settings.
By goal
Pick a path based on what you want to get out of Doow.
Track usage-based licensesManage how Doow tracks prepaid and metered billing across your AI, cloud, and SaaS stack — from API calls to tokens, compute, and more.Map users and SSO activity to the right appsConnect your identity provider to see who has access to each app, which groups they belong to, and when they last signed in.Sync departments, managers, and employee statusConnect your HRIS so Doow can attribute spend by department and automatically provision or deprovision licenses based on employment status.Software spend from banking, cards, and accountingConnect your financial data sources so Doow can map every charge to the right app, user, or license — and show what's being utilized vs wasted.
Data layers
Every integration maps to one of three data layers. Here's what each one covers.
| Source family | Use it when | Start here |
|---|---|---|
| Usage data | App activity, API calls, tokens, compute, browser and desktop usage. | Usage guide |
| Organization data | Users, groups, departments, managers, employment status. | Identity & HRIS guide |
| Financial data | Transactions, invoices, vendor charges, expense categories. | Finance guide |
What success looks like
After connecting any source, open its detail page from My connections and confirm Doow is pulling the data you expect.
Make sure:
- The integration shows a connected state with a recent sync timestamp
- Imported records match the source you connected — usage rows, users, employees, or expenses
- No credential, permission, or rate-limit errors in the event log
If the connection succeeds but no data appears, verify the credential has the right account, scope, and workspace before disconnecting.
