Connect Zoho People when Doow needs employee records, departments, job titles, and employment status from Zoho People.
Zoho People is separate from Zoho identity
Use this page for Zoho People as an HR system. If you use Zoho as a login or directory provider, use the Zoho identity integration.
What you need
- A Zoho People account that manages the employees Doow needs to read.
- A Zoho People admin who can approve the HRIS connection.
Use employee-form read access
Zoho People APIs expose employee data through People forms and OAuth scopes. Doow needs read access to employee records, not access to leave, attendance, payroll, or performance modules.
What Doow reads

How to connect
- Go to Company Settings, then Integrations in your Doow workspace.
- Find Zoho People and select Connect.
- Complete the secure Zoho People linking flow.
- Sign in with the Zoho People admin account that owns approval.
- Approve read access for the employee records Doow imports.
- Wait for Doow to verify the connection and begin the initial employee sync.
Permissions requested
Doow requests Zoho People read access for employee records:

Zoho People scopes define the service, module, and operation type that an app can use. Doow uses read access for employee reporting fields only.
What Doow does not read
- Salary, compensation, payroll, or reimbursement data
- Leave balances, attendance records, or timesheets
- Performance appraisals or HR notes
- Tax IDs or personal government IDs
- Zoho Mail, CRM, Books, Desk, or other Zoho product data
Confirm the sync worked
After connecting, open the integration detail page from Company Settings, then Integrations. A healthy Zoho People sync shows a connected state, a recent sync timestamp, and imported employee records with work email, department, job title, and employment status where Zoho People returns them.
If records are missing, confirm that the connected Zoho People admin can read the employees Doow needs and that those employees have work email addresses.
Troubleshooting
Use these checks when Zoho People employee data is missing or stale:
- Confirm the connected Zoho People admin can read the expected employee records.
- Confirm employee work email addresses are present and match identity records.
- Check whether inactive or terminated employees are filtered by Zoho People permissions, views, or sync settings.
- Check the integration event log for permission or sync errors.
Zoho People-specific checks

Disconnecting
Go to Company Settings, then Integrations, find Zoho People, and select Disconnect. Doow deletes the stored authorization immediately. Revoke the Doow app from Zoho Accounts under Sessions, then Connected Apps when you want to remove provider-side access too.
