Connect BambooHR employee records, departments, and employment status to Doow.

Connect BambooHR when Doow needs employee records, departments, job titles, and employment status from BambooHR.

What you need

  • A BambooHR account that can read the employee records Doow needs.
  • Your BambooHR company subdomain, such as yourcompany.bamboohr.com.
  • Permission to approve or create the BambooHR connection for reporting.

Use an HR-approved connection

BambooHR API access follows the permissions of the BambooHR user or key used for the request. Use an account or authorization approved to read the employee fields Doow imports.

How to connect

  1. Go to Company Settings, then Integrations in your Doow workspace.
  2. Find BambooHR and select Connect.
  3. Enter your BambooHR company subdomain if prompted.
  4. Complete the secure BambooHR linking flow.
  5. Approve read access for the employee fields Doow imports.
  6. Wait for Doow to verify the connection and begin the initial employee sync.

What Doow does not read

  • Salary, compensation, payroll, bonus, or commission data
  • Performance reviews or HR notes
  • Tax IDs, national IDs, or personal government IDs
  • Banking details or direct deposit information
  • Employee documents, attachments, or files

Confirm the sync worked

After connecting, open the integration detail page from Company Settings, then Integrations. A healthy BambooHR sync shows a connected state, a recent sync timestamp, and imported employee records with work email, department, job title, and employment status where BambooHR returns them.

If records are missing, confirm that the connected BambooHR account can read the employees Doow needs and that those employees have work email addresses.

Troubleshooting

Use these checks when BambooHR employee data is missing or stale:

  • Confirm the connected BambooHR account can read the expected employee records.
  • Confirm employee work email addresses are present and match identity records.
  • Check whether inactive or terminated employees are filtered by BambooHR permissions or report settings.
  • Check the integration event log for permission or sync errors.

Disconnecting

Go to Company Settings, then Integrations, find BambooHR, and select Disconnect. Doow deletes the stored authorization immediately. Revoke or delete the BambooHR API key or connected authorization when you want to remove provider-side access too.
