New Relic
Connect New Relic telemetry events and metric data to Doow.
Connect New Relic when Doow needs metric data or event counts that already exist in your New Relic account.
What you need
- A New Relic account with the metric or event data you want Doow to read.
- The New Relic Account ID that owns the data.
- A New Relic User API key approved for Doow reporting.
Use a reporting-safe User API key
New Relic user keys are used with NerdGraph and New Relic APIs. Use a key from a user or service account approved to query the account data Doow needs.
Find your Account ID and API key
- Go to one.newrelic.com.
- Open the account that owns the metric data.
- Open Account settings and copy the Account ID.
- Open API keys.
- Create a new key.
- Select User key.
- Name it something identifiable, such as
Doow usage read. - Copy the key.
- Paste the Account ID and User API key into Doow when prompted.
What Doow reads
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Metric data | Time-series data from configured New Relic metric or NRQL queries |
| Event counts | Aggregated event volumes where the configured query returns them |
| Account ID | The New Relic account that generated the data |
| Attributes | App, service, project, environment, or custom attributes where present |
| Date | The time window the usage occurred in |
Doow reads New Relic data available to the connected User API key and aggregates it into Doow usage reporting.
What Doow does not read
- The content of any traces, logs, or browser session data
- Infrastructure configuration or environment variables
- Source code or secrets
- Billing payment methods or invoices
How to connect
- Go to Company Settings, then Integrations in your Doow workspace.
- Find New Relic and select Connect.
- Enter the Account ID.
- Paste the User API key.
- Select Connect.
- Wait for Doow to verify the credentials and begin the initial sync.
Confirm the sync worked
After connecting, open the integration detail page from Company Settings, then Integrations. A healthy observability sync shows a connected state, a recent sync timestamp, and metric or event rows for the expected account, app, service, project, environment, or attribute.
If no metrics appear, verify that the metric or NRQL query returns data in New Relic for the selected time range and that the User API key can read it.
Troubleshooting
Use these checks when metrics are missing or incomplete:
- Confirm the API key can read the account, app, service, or project.
- Confirm the metric exists in the observability platform before connecting it to Doow.
- Confirm the metric has data in the selected time range.
- Check whether the provider aggregates or delays metric availability.
- Check the integration event log for credential, scope, or rate-limit errors.
Disconnecting
Go to Company Settings, then Integrations, find New Relic, and select Disconnect. Doow deletes the stored credentials immediately. Revoke the User API key in New Relic when you want to remove provider-side access too.
Next steps
After metrics appear, connect an identity provider if Doow needs to match New Relic usage to users and app ownership. Connect HRIS when the review needs department or employment context.
