Yapily
Link a UK or EU bank account through Yapily open banking to import transactions into Doow.
Connect a UK or EU bank account through Yapily when Doow needs to see bank transactions for software spend matching.
Yapily is an open banking intermediary that connects Doow to your bank using PSD2-regulated consent flows. Your browser redirects to your bank's own consent page, where you approve read access. Doow never sees your banking login credentials.
What you need
- A bank account at a Yapily-supported institution in a supported country.
- Online banking access to approve the open banking consent.
- Permission to authorize a third-party read connection to the account.
Supported countries
Yapily supports banks in the following countries:
- United Kingdom
- France
- Spain
- Sweden
- Italy
- Portugal
- Belgium
How to connect
- Go to Company Settings, then Integrations in your Doow workspace.
- Find Bank account and select Connect.
- Select your country from the list.
- Browse or search the available banks and select yours.
- Your browser redirects to your bank's consent page.
- Sign in with your online banking credentials on your bank's site.
- Approve read access for account and transaction data.
- Your bank redirects you back to Doow.
- Select the account or accounts you want Doow to read.
- The connection begins syncing.
The initial sync imports up to two months of recent transactions. After that, Doow syncs new transactions on a recurring schedule.
Unlike Plaid's embedded widget, the Yapily flow redirects your browser to your bank's own consent page. You return to Doow automatically after approving.
What Doow reads
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Account name | The name of each linked account |
| Account type | Personal, business, or other classification |
| Balance | Current and available balance at sync time |
| Transaction amount | The payment amount |
| Merchant name | The merchant or payee on the transaction |
| Transaction date | When the transaction was recorded |
| Currency | The currency of the account |
| Account identifiers | Sort code, IBAN, or account number used during the linking step |
What Doow does not read
- Your banking login credentials or password
- Account numbers or sort codes after the initial connection
- Balances on accounts you did not select
- Investment holdings, credit card statements, or loan details
- Data from banks or countries outside the Yapily-supported list
- Data outside the accounts you linked
How Yapily keeps the connection current
Yapily uses a consent token that your bank issues during the approval step. Doow stores this token securely and uses it to fetch new transactions on a recurring schedule.
Some banks set an expiry on the consent token. If the consent expires, the integration is marked as needing re-authentication. You can reconnect from Company Settings, then Integrations by repeating the bank consent flow.
Confirm the sync worked
After connecting, open the integration detail page from Company Settings, then Integrations. A healthy Yapily sync shows a connected state, a recent sync timestamp, and imported transactions with merchant names and amounts.
If the connection succeeds but no transactions appear, confirm the linked account has recent transaction activity within the sync window.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Likely cause | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| Your bank is not in the list | Yapily does not yet support that institution in your country | Check whether your bank supports open banking, or use an accounting integration instead |
| Bank consent page fails or times out | The bank's open banking service is temporarily unavailable | Try again later or contact your bank |
| Connection succeeds but no transactions appear | The account has no activity in the sync window | Confirm the account has posted transactions in the last two months |
| Integration shows re-authentication required | The bank's consent token has expired | Reconnect from Company Settings, then Integrations |
| Transactions stop syncing after a period | Some banks issue short-lived consent tokens that require periodic renewal | Re-authorize the connection to refresh the consent |
Disconnecting
Go to Company Settings, then Integrations, find the linked bank account, and select Disconnect. Doow deletes the stored consent token immediately. Transaction records already imported are retained until you delete them or your retention settings remove them.
