Update your payment method

How to add or replace a credit card, update billing details, and add a VAT number.

You can update your payment method at any time from Billing settings. Changes apply to the next invoice.

Replace your credit card

  1. Go to Settings → Billing → Payment method.
  2. Click Update card.
  3. Enter your new card number, expiry, and CVC.
  4. Click Save.

The new card becomes the default for all future charges. Your previous card is removed.

Add a backup payment method

Doow supports one active payment method per workspace. If you need to change cards without a lapse in service, add the new card first, then remove the old one.

Update billing address

Your billing address appears on invoices and is used for tax calculations.

  1. Go to Settings → Billing → Billing details.
  2. Edit the address fields.
  3. Click Save changes.

Add a VAT number

If your organization is VAT-registered, adding your VAT number removes VAT from future invoices.

  1. Go to Settings → Billing → Billing details.
  2. Enter your VAT number in the Tax ID field.
  3. Click Save changes.

Doow validates VAT numbers against official registries. If validation fails, check that the number matches your registration certificate exactly.

Failed payments

If a payment fails, Doow will:

  1. Retry the charge after 3 days, then again after 7 days.
  2. Email the billing contact with instructions to update the payment method.
  3. After the final retry, downgrade the workspace to read-only.

To restore access after a failed payment, update your card and contact support@doow.co to manually retry the charge.
