How integrations work
What connecting an integration does, what data is collected, and how syncs work.
An integration is a connection between Doow and a data source — such as an identity provider, HR system, SaaS tool, or cloud platform. Once connected, Doow reads data from that source on a regular schedule.
What data Doow collects
Doow collects only the data needed to map usage and spend. This typically includes:
- Users and groups — from identity providers and HR systems
- Usage events — from SaaS APIs, the Doow Agent, or observability pipelines
- Spend signals — from billing APIs or exported invoices
Doow does not collect personal communications, file contents, or any data unrelated to software usage.
Sync frequency
Most integrations sync automatically:
- Standard sync — every 24 hours
- Real-time / webhook — for integrations that support push events
- Manual sync — you can trigger a resync at any time from the integration settings page
Permissions Doow requests
Doow requests the minimum read-only permissions required to collect the data listed above. You can review the exact OAuth scopes requested on each integration's setup page before authorizing.
Removing an integration
Disconnecting an integration stops future syncs. Historical data already collected is retained in your workspace unless you explicitly delete it from Settings → Data management.
