Managing your profile

Update your name, email, password, profile photo, and display preferences in Doow.

Your profile is where you manage your personal account details, display preferences, and notification settings. Changes you make here only affect your account — they do not impact other workspace members.

Accessing your profile

Click your avatar in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar, then select Profile. Alternatively, go to Settings and click your avatar in the top-right of the Settings page.

The profile page has three tabs: General, Security, and Notifications.

General tab

Profile photo

Your profile photo appears in the sidebar avatar, on team lists, and next to any notes or comments you leave on applications.

  1. Click your current photo (or the placeholder avatar) to upload a new image.
  2. Choose a JPEG or PNG file — anything up to 2 MB is fine.
  3. Crop the image to a square using the built-in cropper.
  4. Click Save.

To remove your photo and revert to the default avatar, click Remove photo below the image.

Name

Your display name is shown throughout the workspace — in the sidebar, on team lists, and on notes. This does not need to match your account email.

Click the name field to edit it. Changes take effect immediately.

Email address

This is the email you use to sign in and receive notifications. Changing your email requires verification:

  1. Click Change email.
  2. Enter the new email address.
  3. Enter your password to confirm.
  4. Doow sends a verification email to the new address — click the link within 24 hours.
  5. Your email is updated. You can now sign in with the new address.

The old email stops working for sign-in immediately after the change is confirmed.

Display preferences

  • Display currency — override the workspace default currency for your personal view. Amounts are converted at Doow's daily exchange rate and shown with a "≈" indicator.
  • Date format — DD/MM/YYYY, MM/DD/YYYY, or YYYY-MM-DD. Applies everywhere in the UI.
  • Number format — 1,000.00 (US/UK) or 1.000,00 (European). Applies to all numbers in tables, charts, and exports.

Security tab

This tab covers password changes, two-factor authentication, active sessions, and activity logs. See Securing your account for the full guide.

Notifications tab

This tab controls which notifications you receive and how:

  • Renewal reminders — when subscriptions you own are approaching renewal. Toggle on/off.
  • Integration alerts — when a connected integration stops syncing or needs reauthorisation. Toggle on/off (recommended to keep on).
  • New member joined — when someone accepts an invitation to your workspace. Admin only. Toggle on/off.
  • Unusual spend detected — when Doow detects a spend spike above your normal range. Toggle on/off.

For each notification type, you can choose:

  • In-app only — appears in the notification bell
  • Email — also sent to your account email
  • Off — no notification

Changes apply immediately. For workspace-wide notification defaults, see Manage notifications.

Leaving a workspace

At the bottom of the General tab is the Leave workspace option. Use this if you are leaving the organisation or no longer need access:

  1. Click Leave workspace.
  2. Confirm by typing your email address.
  3. You lose access immediately. Any Doow AI threads you created are preserved but anonymised.

If you are the last Admin in the workspace, you cannot leave until you transfer ownership or promote another member to Admin.
